Compound management
has successfully addressed the challenge
of scale up in quantity through the use
of automation. Now compound managers are
being tasked with improving the quality
of materials supplied to screening on one
hand, and supporting on-demand requests
for library subsets, dynamic screening and
profiling on the other. |
| |
In order to support these
new requirements, TAP is continually developing
its storage products to facilitate higher
throughput and to incorporate compound QC.
In addition, the consistency of automated
handling provides greatly improved levels
of process integrity, facilitating validation
to GLP where necessary. |

HomeBase
is a narrow aisle based automated system
for the storage and retrieval of compound
libraries. Each HomeBase store is a unique
configuration of storage frames, sized to
fit available space and catering for a variety
of storage capacities, picking rates, temperatures
and multiple vessel types. It operates at
any temperature from above ambient down
to -20°C, with most compound solution
installations being either +4°C or -20°C. |
| |
HomeBase efficiently stores
multiple single-use aliquots in 384-way
individually coded PicoTubes®, together
with the library of mother tubes from which
these aliquots can be replenished when necessary. |
| |
- HomeBase
is installed at major sites worldwide
in applications such as DNA and compound
management, as well as protein crystallography
