ambr
is a new system designed to mimic mammalian
cell culture in bioreactors at microscale
(10 – 15mL). It has been optimised
to reproduce suspension culture conditions
that exist within experimental 5 and 10L
bioreactors so that comparable results can
be obtained rapidly and at much lower cost.
Unlike plate based systems, ambr allows
individual control of the environmental
conditions as well as feeding and sampling.
24 disposable micro bioreactors can be controlled
with an automated workstation to enable
a wide range of cell line selection and
development experiments to be run.
The system can be used
to compare multiple clones to select for
stability and productivity or multiple
replicates of the same clone to compare
different feeding strategies and culture
conditions on growth and output.
