The Automation Partnership presents at Cell Banking Conference

The Automation Partnership (TAP) is presenting at the WilBio cell banking conference this week.

Susan Baird, Associate Director at TAP, will be presenting "a novel tool to speed up screw-top cryovial filling for cell banks". Her talk will discuss Fill-It, a new standalone, bench top product for dispensing cell suspensions and other liquids into screw-cap vials, which includes automation for removing and replacing the vial caps.

Fill-It has been designed in response to the increased use of screw cap vials for low temperature sample storage, coupled with the request from cell culture groups for a quick decap and recap device of multiple screw top cryovials in racks with integrated liquid handling that would be suitable for cell banking.

The presentation will include system performance - covering cell yield, viability and consistency of dispense, cleaning and decontamination - and options for GMP validation. It will conclude with a discussion on potential future enhancements to the Fill-It product.
